Scott commenced his four-year Carpentry Apprenticeship in 1981 with the NSW Master Builders Association. During this time Scott worked on many homes in Sydney, carrying out additions & alterations.
Scott’s passion for period building work started in 1985, when he worked as a leading hand carpenter for three years on the restoration of the famous and beautiful Queen Victoria Building, a significant civic project of the 1980s. During this time Scott also completed his Clerk Of Works Certificate. Although this qualified him as a Building Inspector, Scott chose to remain working on domestic alterations. Scott obtained his personal Builders Licence in August 1990 and three years later established Buildwyse Constructions.
