Job Overview:

Nathan James is looking for a Head of Finance that will help support the company’s triple-digit growth by leading the finance division.

Job Responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial planning, and reporting, cash management, and taxes. You will have ownership over the company budget. And will need to ensure that the company’s profit goals are met and that there’s sufficient capital to support company objectives. You will need to manage the relationship with our financial institutions as well as our professional accounting firm. Oversee the accounting team and make sure we are compliant with all relevant governments. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

A big part of this role is being a leader. You will lead and grow the finance team in order to support the company growth. You will develop efficient internal/external procedures and work with our technology team and the support of our COO in order to simplify operations. With the help of our technology team, you will design our in-house accounting and financial reporting system.

During training, you will learn our systems and our current processes within a four to six week period. Once fully up-to-speed, you’ll want to improve processes and reporting. Understand what our next one to three-year roadmap looks like and start building a hiring plan for the finance division.

Job Requirements:

You possess deep knowledge of financial management and accounting standards, demonstrating your ability to work closely and effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, and have excellent financial analysis, reporting skills.

You are a trusted business adviser with the capability for timely, clear and decisive action. You have a successful track record identifying and driving value in an organization, developing and successfully executing strategic plans and complex budgets. You have a strong interest in overall business operations and are a big-picture thinker who is comfortable and effective working both at the strategic and tactical levels.

We would like to see ten plus years of financial leadership experience with the majority working in the consumer finished goods industry. Having hired and developed great people. Experience managing relations with financial institutions. You need to be very comfortable working with ERP and other web platforms.
