This role reports to the CEO. We’re looking for a Head of Finance who will not only track finances but will also contribute financial advice through their expertise to help make key decisions with leadership. Responsible for the efforts, results, and success of an organization’s finance department.

 Job Requirements:

Required Experience:

  • Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management required; experience in an accomplished financial firm and experience in a startup preferred
  • Experience as part of a leadership team or executive staff
  • Experience working with VCs; experience with Silicon-Valley based VCs preferred
  • Experience raising late-stage capital

Objective Outcomes: 

  • Defines and implements KPIs and strategic objectives for the division and the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those KPIs and objectives; works cross-departmentally with teams to bring finance tools and expertise to execute on achieving those KPIs and objectives
  • Works with the leadership team and CEO to define, measure, and validate the business model using their expertise
  • Prepare official reports on a weekly, monthly, annual and as-needed basis for the board, current, and potential investors and leadership team
  • Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future
