Lead Engineer – Boone – Roadtrippers

Job Expired

Job Description:

Roadtrippers is a rapidly growing team, recently acquired by TH2, a Thor/THL joint venture.  The Boone team ensures that Roadtrippers and all of its data partners have access to the most interesting possible database of millions of attractions, national/state parks, diners, hotels and everything else that travelers love.  With wide distribution of its data, Boone is generating unprecedented insight into audience and regional travel intent, patterns, and behaviors.

Roadtrippers headquarters is located in the historic Over-the-Rhine district in Cincinnati, Ohio. Remote opportunities are available for highly qualified applicants.

Job Responsibilities:

Roadtrippers is looking for a Lead Engineer for Boone, our team dedicated to place data management and distribution.  The Boone API helps to simplify the complexities of travel discovery at scale.  As the Lead Engineer, you will work with both internal and external stakeholders to build the best APIs for finding and serving up great place data.  You will need to take complex geo-data concepts and distill them into powerful abstractions that are quick and easy for other developers to implement.  You will help make important architectural decisions for our data pipeline that ingests several TBs of data and synthesizes them into a coherent view of the world.  You will need to make sure that our APIs are robust and scalable.  You will help us architect and build advanced web apps for geo data management, that work for both the internal user and the casual small business user.  Over time, you will be expected to grow and mentor the Boone engineering team.

Join us to empower the world’s travelers and travel companies!
