Mid to Senior Golang Developer – VerticalOps

Come join one of the fastest growing companies in Utah Valley, where creating an awesome and productive development environment is key to our success.  We are looking for a Mid to Senior Golang developer who is dedicated to their craft that can hit the ground running.  We need you to write beautiful, fast Go code to a high standard, in a timely and scalable process that improves the codebase of our products in meaningful ways.

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the on-going software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching. We work hard, play hard. We have a ping pong table, pool table, team lunches, and snacks available in the office.

•    Write clean, readable, well-designed code

 •    Produce detailed specifications

 •    Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality with KISS/DRY in mind

 •    Follow industry best practices

 •    Working with a team to develop simple, optimized code

 •    Familiar with LEMP

 •    MySQL experience strongly preferred

 •    VueJS experience is a plus, or willingness to learn

 •    PHP experience is a plus, or willingness to learn

 •    Docker experience is a plus

 •    Proven software development experience in Go

 •    Demonstrable knowledge of basic web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, etc

 •    Good knowledge of version control tools and of developing web services, especially Git

 •    Experience with common third-party APIs

 •    Linux familiarity

 •    Working in a team environment
