We are seeking a Partnerships and Channel Marketing Lead that will be instrumental in growing product and brand awareness on and off-line, through partnerships with influencers and external brands, and a formal affiliate/partner program. The ideal candidate has a track record of leading partnership and channel marketing efforts from initial strategy through execution, and consistently produces ROI positive results.

The successful candidate will be customer-oriented, self-motivated and results-driven.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish relationships with key influencers, organizations, and brands in the sales space.
  • Leverage these relationships to drive site visits, product awareness and new customer acquisition.
  • Grow our partner/affiliate program to be one of the most successful affiliate programs in SaaS (with significant revenue impact)
  • Own all marketing activities related to our partner and affiliate program. Coordinate with sales to set aggressive channel growth targets. Optimize our sales and marketing funnel on an ongoing basis to maintain the flow of high quality, targeted leads.
  • Identify and pursue potential partnership opportunities with external sites, organizations, and brands. Whether content or product marketing related, build and leverage these relationships for cross promotion and joint marketing activities.
  • Foster relationships with our native integration partners to support the visibility of Close in their marketing efforts (and the successful promotion of their Close integrations in our marketing channels).
  • Build an external influencer pool through targeted outreach. Leverage these relationships to aid in the marketing of Close and our platform.
  • Engage our target audience on external forums, websites, and review sites. Ensure that Close is visible on the top online directories where CRM products are reviewed and listed.
  • Assess inbound marketing sponsorship opportunities. Pinpoint external sponsorship opportunities that are highly relevant to our target customer. Keep a record of these requests and opportunities, engage with the highest ROI opportunities, and manage the budget accordingly.
  • Continuously research the sales and marketing space and apply this knowledge to our marketing efforts (competitors, market trends, etc).
  • Use data to drive decision making for all partnership projects and campaigns.
  • The role includes, but is not limited to the above. While we continue to grow and expand, the ideal candidate may also explore new channels and opportunities not listed here.
Job Requirements:

As the Partnerships and Channel Marketing Lead at Close, your primary job is to build the foundation of this function within the company and successfully scale the efforts of this unit over time.

You are comfortable working remotely as part of a small team, with a high level of autonomy. You can devise your own schedule and effectively manage your workload based on the biggest opportunities and company objectives.

When you’re in the wrong or make a mistake you can admit it. You can articulate why it happened and how you’ve learned from the experience.

Above all, you understand that your success—and our success—hinges on the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers.

  • 4+ years experience working within a tech or SaaS organization, where your efforts positively contributed to company growth
  • 3+ years in a marketing or sales role managing partnerships, business development, affiliate, and/or influencer programs
  • EXPERT writing ability in a wide variety of styles (technical, longform, copywriting, etc) with clarity and relatability
  • Experience analyzing partnership/sponsorship opportunities and forecasting intended outcomes and ROI
  • Strong passion for the sales and marketing space (products, trends, etc)
  • Project management expertise—can coordinate and juggle a variety of projects from conception through completion and ensure alignment with other internal teams when necessary (Product, Customer Success, Sales, etc).
  • Foundational knowledge of common marketing analytics and campaign management platforms (analytics, popular ESPs, ad networks, social platforms, etc)
  • Experience executing in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
  • Creative thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a sense of humor are vital
