GroCycle Courses CIC is an online education business which aims to get more people all around the world to grow mushrooms the Low Tech way.

Via its main website, GroCycle.com, and an accompanying YouTube channel, millions of visitors each year learn about small scale mushroom farming and also about other sustainable farming techniques and growing set-ups.

Our audiences (as of June 2020):

  • Monthly website pageviews (230k+)
  • Email list (55k+)
  • Facebook (40k+)
  • YouTube (15k+)
  • Online courses (1k+ members in over 60 countries)
  • Facebook members group (700 members)

In addition, there’s enormous potential in a wide variety of partnerships with other online
teachers in the field of small scale farming, permaculture and homesteading.

This is a contract, hourly position, min 30 hours a week, independent contractor. Pay
based on experience. You set your own schedule as long as the work gets done by the
deadlines.
You will be working with management based in GMT timezone so you must be willing to
adjust your work hours so there is at least a 2 hour overlap when circumstances require.
Yearly profit sharing after a minimum of 6 months with the company. Job description
and salary to be reviewed bi-annually. Possibility for full-time employment.

Job Responsibilities:

The Content manager is a key role and aims to ensure the success and growth of our
content marketing. If you love learning, writing, editing, teaching, sharing knowledge
and coming up with new ideas, this could be the perfect position for you.
You’ll be responsible for major tasks set out below and for managing day-to-day issues
as they arise.
This role includes but is not limited to:
– Plan and execute a weekly Editorial Calendar
– Content creation: write, or edit written content (site articles/emails)
– Promote and repurpose video content into articles, emails, social media posts
– Process video clips and, together with our video editor, ensure great YouTube
footage and channel interactions
– Agree, collect and review metrics

Job Requirements:

-Have previous experience managing content for a website or YouTube channel.
– Fluent in English.
– You have good internet and phone service where you live.
– You communicate in a clear, positive manner.
– You have an understanding of online marketing/education business models.
– You work well with a fast-moving team of high performers.
– You are self-motivated, take responsibility, and are highly organized .
– You pay attention to detail.
– You are flexible and can adapt to changes easily.
– You are open to joining the team on a 2 month probationary trial to show your ability in
meeting the responsibilities required in this role.
– You want to work with people who are making a positive change.
