As an editor, you will be responsible for the flow of content from start to finish on several campaigns spanning varied industries. You will work with account team members to execute customized content strategies. You will guide writers in developing content in accordance with the requirements of the clients and their campaigns. You will edit every piece of content that comes across your desk carefully, thoughtfully applying your knowledge and company best practices. You will communicate with the campaign strategists and campaign managers regularly. You will work with subject matter experts to understand technical industries and terminology. You will be responsible for editing regular deliverables and special projects. You will work in WordPress or other content management systems as needed, uploading and creating pages. Your days will be busy and varied, and you will need to constantly reprioritize tasks to meet deadlines across multiple accounts.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Be the first point of contact for in-house and freelance writers who are working on the account. You will coordinate with them about topic assignments and writing schedules, as well as manage the revision process.
  • Maintain strict organization for all processes. Update editorial calendars, trackers, and agendas regularly.
  • Participate regularly in meetings with writers, other editors, campaign managers and strategists, clients, and management. You must be able to confidently discuss and understand content strategy as well as implement it.
  • Edit every piece of content with a fine-toothed comb. A simple copy edit is not enough—our editors go above and beyond to ensure that every piece has insight, clarity, and is fully optimized for maximum SEO value.
  • Develop content for special projects. These often involve more complex landing pages which will require you to apply a creative touch.
  • Be responsible for uploading and publishing blog posts to the client website.

We provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities. We strive to be the best at what we do and have a culture of learning—but also a bit of fun!

Job Requirements:

  • Punctuality, professionalism, and excellent time management skills.
  • A sharp eye that can spot errors and inconsistencies while balancing the specific SEO needs of the accounts.
  • Exceptional communication skills. You must be able to communicate professionally and regularly with writers, clients, campaign managers and strategists, subject matter experts, management, and other members of the content department.
  • A reliable internet connection and computer. All our work is done with online platforms, so you must be comfortable working on a computer all day.
  • A positive, solutions-oriented, and energetic attitude.
  • Experience in WordPress or another CMS is preferred, but not required.
Benefits:

We are seeking an experienced editor who can hit the ground running in a full-time, telecommute position. We offer 2 weeks of paid time off, 1 week of sick time, and standard company holidays. We also offer retirement and health care benefits after 3 months of employment.
