Job Overview – Appen transcription
Transcribe audio to help build state of the art AI-powered speech recognition models! We imagine a world in which AI augments human communication.
This is an onsite project, which will require successful candidates to work in our client’s office in Bukit Batok, Singapore. You will be working as part of a small team of transcribers transcribing Mandarin audio. We will provide you with guidelines for how to transcribe and annotate the audio.
Job Requirements
- Must be permanent residents of Singapore, and company security clearance is required.
- Spend at least 35 hours/week.
- Mandarin Chinese speakers only.

Pay Rate
Mandarin transcriptionists in Singapore that work for Appen will get generally paid $12 – $14 USD per audio hour.
Every month, work hours are totaled on the last day of the month, and then checks or direct deposits are processed in the middle of the following month.
