We are looking for a freelancer specialised in video captioning in English to join our team in an effort to contribute to various Machine Learning projects dealing with grammar and spell-checker developments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned)

• Work with provided video and accurately capture speech while aligning speaker identification, speech and non-speech events
• Create language data while captioning video : help in creating, categorising, auditing, and improving lexical data
• Manage a busy captioning schedule
• Ability to deliver results in a timely manner and manage multiple daily deadlines

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• English native speaker fluency
• Video captioning experience
• Excellent knowledge of the structural aspects of the language (syntax, semantics, phonology, phonetics)
• Up-to-date exposure to popular native culture and the ability to use that knowledge to perform accurate captions
• Strong attention to detail while working efficiently
• Good organisational and analytical skills
• Good communication skills

Education and/or Experience

• Student or Bachelor‘s degree in General Linguistics or related studies.
• Experience in video captioning preferred
• Experience in video or non-video transcription
