The Senior Data Conversion Consultant is part of our Professional Services team and will work with customers to deliver technical solutions to meet customer needs.  This position requires a solid understanding of Student Information Systems, specifically focused in one of the four areas: Registration, Advising and Student Life; Admissions and Financial Aid; Alumni and Development; Business Office and Human Resources.

This role is central to the coordination of efforts to guide clients through the best way to transform their data through data conversion.  This role will work with customers to convert legacy data to the Jenzabar software and will need to be fully knowledgeable of application and database constraints and requirements.  The Senior Data Conversion Consultant will write SQL programming scripts to transform data into the database. They will analyze and compare the source and target data to ensure that the data is correctly transformed. The position calls for flexibility in creating requirements / specifications as well as utilizing technical skills.

The pay range for this position is $59k to 80k/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop SQL scripts to cleanse and perform data transformation (conversion)
• Design and develop mapping document for client legacy data transformation (conversion)
• Analyze data requirements and recognize alternative solutions that may be more efficient or effective
• Develop test transactions and use cases to verify the results of the data transformation (conversion)
• Initiate change request orders, as changes to the code and mapping are requested for the project
• Work with the project team and clients to improve data conversion process and streamline customer experience
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for customer success
• Over 6 years’ experience working at an Accredited College/University or in Higher Education Market.
• Over 3 years’ experience writing complex SQL scripts, specifically T-SQL programming using stored procedures
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases, including best practices
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects
• Must have excellent team building and problem-solving skills with comfortability working in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to be innovative, creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box when problem-solving.
• Experience with Jenzabar software a plus
