Text Categorization Project (Remote – Only German Speakers / UK Residences)

We are looking for native/bilingual speakers of the German language who are currently residing in the UK to join our zero-hour contract project.

What is a zero-hour contract? This is a type of employment contract between an employer and an employee which effectively means that we, Appen, as an employer, are not obliged to guarantee any working hours to an individual.

Project Description:

The aim of the task is to read through a document and annotate the text with relevant labels that fall into defined categories of a particular topic. After studying a set of guidelines, using Appen’s annotation tool, the contributor will categories that correspond to words/phrases that appear in the document.

Skills preferred

Native/bilingual fluency in the requested language below:

Note: all must be able to understand written English instructions

• • Excellent grasp of comprehension and grammar
  • Experience in annotating text
  • Experience in the keyword search
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
