Job Overview:

Amazon’s Relay Operations Center (ROC) Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist to assist in the resolution of stakeholder issues of daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network. This role is fully virtual allowing an individual to work with peers, Amazon stakeholders, and customers across the world from their own home by taking hotline phone calls and working standardized processes.

An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and strong customer service experience taking phone calls. This job will require exceptional communication skills in a fast paced environment with the support of designated point of contacts to reach out to for assistance. Schedules can vary between Front Half (Sun.-Thurs.), Back Half (Tues.-Sat.), or Monday-Friday. Overtime is solicited on a business need basis up to six days a week, 12 hours a day, and 60 hours a week and can be deemed mandatory.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Help a variety of external and internal Amazon customers by hotline phone calls, case management, and Work Item Management
  • Use tools and programs to navigate website tools, research disruptions, review options and solutions for customers, and communicate them effectively
  • Identify proper stakeholders when presented an issue outside your scope and escalate to the relevant owners and/or teams
  • Follow detailed verbal and written instructions/SOPs
  • Provide a work area free of distractions that allows full focus on work activities only.
Job Requirements:


  • High School or equivalent diploma
  • Previous customer service experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon work experience.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Call center experience
  • Experience in the logistics/transportation industry
  • Experience in prioritizing tasks and time to ensure efficiency
