Community Data Platforms is hiring a Director of our Project Management Office! The purpose of this position is to lead the operations of the PMO, by introducing and developing project management standards, including tools and techniques.

The Job

The purpose of this position is to lead the operations of the PMO, by introducing and developing project management standards, including tools and techniques; developing processes; and providing administrative and project management support to include training, mentoring, and coaching of Project Managers.  In collaboration with senior staff PMO provides leadership, strategic direction, and management for the PMO programs and related activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for planning, executing, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope for all projects in the portfolio.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to simultaneously control numerous projects.
  • Establishes industry standard processes and techniques for scoping/requirements gathering and project management, including best practices in change management.
  • Evaluates the PMO department structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency of the department.
  • Capacity to anticipate, comprehend and manage project dependencies across other initiatives in the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate easily and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use strong diplomatic skills in conjunction with communication abilities.
  • Leads, trains, mentors, and coaches project managers within the PMO.
  • Must be collaborative in nature, utilizing exceptional listening and facilitation skills to build effective teams, drive effective outcomes and develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports.
  • Experience in vendor/consultant management preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required. 
  •  Previous experience in a similar position can be helpful especially in the world of data.
  • Must work effectively on their own, as well as in a team setting with others.
  • Position can be full or part-time.
