Job Description:

This is a freelance translation editing role, with the potential to be an ongoing project. The ideal candidate has proven experience translating or editing translated digital content for a French-Canadian audience. They understand the nuances of localized content, possess great attention to detail and can reliably meet strict deadlines. To participate in this project, the candidate will need to use our proprietary CMS and create an account on a separate platform for payment processing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Edit translated content for grammar, punctuation and accuracy on a wide variety of topics for diverse audiences on multiple sites
  • Ensure translation is appropriate for a French-Canadian audience, including phrasing and vocabulary
  • Meet regular submissions deadlines

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience as a professional translator or translation editor with proven communication skills
  • BA/BS in English, French or other writing intensive degree
  • Professional experience working with online content
  • Incredible attention to detail and intolerance for errors
  • Ability to manage your own workload effectively, whether it’s quick turnarounds or longer-term projects
  • Proficient in Google Sheets
  • Experience working with a CMS is a plus
