Job Overview:

We are searching for the right Quality Assurance Specialist to join Belighted in its mission to build extraordinary products for software innovators.

We are a software house working currently on 10-20 projects. We are looking for someone with experience doing quality assurance in custom web and/or mobile software, both in B2B and B2C. The candidate must be available to collaborate during European team business hours.

You will work on customer and internal projects under the supervision of a project manager in an agile environment. Your work will provide the foundation for emerging new technologies, and you’ve got the drive to make a difference. Contribute to and grow with a high-caliber team that takes pride in excellence.

PART-TIME JOB: 20 hours per week (with opportunity to increase workload in 3-6 months)

Salary : $40,000

Job Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the quality of all our customer and internal projects
  • Define acceptance criteria in collaboration with the product managers
  • Design and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
  • Execute manual test scenarios according to acceptance criteria
  • Document software defects using a bug tracking system
  • Automated testing (including low or no-code solutions) a plus but not required
  • Be autonomous but also work in small teams of 3-4 people
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings and daily discussions on our project management tools
  • Directly contribute to the company culture and be involved in its success and growth
Job Requirements:
  • 3+ years proven experience doing quality assurance for high-quality mobile and web applications
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus), work well in a team, and are a good communicator.
  • Proficient with Jira and Slack
  • Love to improve products for great user experience by manually testing them in real-world use cases
  • Good understanding of the inner workings of applications, websites, APIs, relational databases, and development frameworks
  • Comfortable getting into dev console or looking at a stack trace to help debug an issue, and are able to reproduce complex bugs with minimal reproduction steps
  • Good product design and UX sensibilities
