About the Role

Figure is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a passion for blockchain technology. In this role, you will perform monthly accounting functions as well as help define critical processes accounting for transactions and fees occurring on the public blockchain network – Provenance. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead financial operations related to tracking and recording activity in our blockchain-enabled lending, payments, and marketplace businesses. There is significant opportunity to influence financial processes as you collaborate cross-functionally to support business growth
  • Execute accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close process, including recording journal entries, owning balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of variances, assisting with regulatory reporting, and oversee customer invoicing
  • Lead preparation of the financial statements for Figure Technologies, Inc. and subsidiaries, evaluating the need for changes or enhancement in reporting and disclosures based on business growth, new accounting standards, and best practices
  • Assist with development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures as needed to comply with U.S. GAAP
  • Assist in managing the external financial statement audit of Figure Technologies, Inc. and subsidiaries, including preparation of documentation to provide to auditors, participation in recurring status meetings, and communication with auditors to explain Figure businesses and their impacts to the financial statements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, operations, compliance, and legal on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and solve problems
  • Drive process improvement and design of automation solutions to further streamline real-time financial data for decision making
  • Ad hoc projects as we scale

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in an accounting function; tech startup experience and/or public accounting preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and superior written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and eagerness to explore automation of processes (Alteryx experience is a plus)
  • CPA license or similar professional certification a plus
  • Demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines with minimal daily oversight
  • A flexible approach and ability to prioritize tasks with ambiguity in a startup environment
