We are seeking a visionary Commercial Director to lead our growth efforts in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role is pivotal in driving Cloudbeds’ mid-market hotel focus, optimizing product offerings, and maximizing revenue growth in strategic regions and verticals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy Development and Execution: Lead the development and execution of Cloudbeds’ commercial strategy in APAC, aligning with the company’s strategic priorities and revenue objectives. Drive the decentralization of the sales organization, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct comprehensive target market analysis, including segmentation, product needs, and competitive positioning. Define and communicate Cloudbeds’ unique value proposition, leveraging deep integration of distribution, marketing, and revenue management solutions.
  • Sales and Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine optimal pricing structures, sales channels, and marketing activations. Develop and execute Go-To-Market plans, ensuring alignment with regional nuances and customer requirements.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor regional sales teams to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market penetration. Establish clear Sales success metrics and performance targets aligned with growth efficiencies, subscription revenue growth rate, and customer satisfaction.
  • Product and Partnership Management: Identify opportunities for product enhancement and expansion based on market feedback and industry trends. Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry leaders to enhance Cloudbeds’ competitive positioning and market reach.
  • Training and Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill improvement. Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for the sales team.
  • Internal Collaboration: Drive close alignment with Finance, Growth Ops, Marketing and CS/Onboarding.

Job Requirements

  • Exceptional business acumen and industry knowledge, with the ability to articulate Cloudbeds’ value proposition and strategic vision to key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the hospitality technology sector, with a focus on mid-market (non flagged) hotel segments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with executive leadership, industry partners, and customers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth, innovation, and customer success.
  • Deep understanding of the SaaS model and its application within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
