Job Overview:

You will work directly with the CEO and the leadership team to help shape the company’s People team. You’ll build a world-class culture in a remote work environment. We are growing rapidly and need a thoughtful and strategic human resources specialist who has past experience in recruiting, talent development, employee enrichment, benefits, operations, and other People & Culture disciplines. The best candidate for this position will be a person who is comfortable in a high-growth tech startup, is passionate about growing and development people, understands remote work/culture, and can help us scale our business. Working closely with business leaders across the company, your work will be instrumental in scaling each department, while developing and maintaining Chainlink’s culture and values and ensuring we remain a people-first company.

Job Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for delivering creative strategies and experiences that span a broad range of crucial People functions, such as recruiting, performance management, on-boarding, culture and values, leadership development, and team engagement.

  • Oversee and enhance company OKR processes for effective goal setting, tracking, and alignment
  • Develop strategies to create an effective and fair hiring process including job postings, interviews, recruiting, on-boarding, enrichment, and retention
  • Manage the entire recruiting process and act as a candidate / hiring manager advocate, ensuring that leaders are supported in building stable talent pipelines
  • Establish internal communications initiatives, such as newsletters and all-hands, to foster transparency, alignment, and information sharing
  • Refine our end-to-end approach to values, people development, and experience
  • Build rewards programs aligned with a culture of recognition, gratitude, wellness, and appreciation (including peer-to-peer)
  • Lead and iterate on performance review and promotion processes while supporting employees with career development and growth mindset
  • Oversee department and company-wide off-sites to bring together the distributed team from around the world
  • Resolve sensitive personnel matters with the utmost integrity, discretion, and thoughtfulness
  • Develop and enforce fair and thoughtful People policies that look out for the best interests of all team members
  • Respond to a wide variety of challenges that fall to the People team to resolve on a day-to-day basis
Job Requirements:

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 7+ years of work experience and 5+ years in a relevant People & Culture role
  • Experience as a full cycle technical recruiter in a fast-paced environment (ideally within a start-up is a plus)
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to evangelize and champion our mission, vision, and values with candidates and employees alike
  • A go-getter who demonstrates strong consultative, relationship-building, influence, and self-management skills
  • High aptitude for EQ, inclusion, and interpersonal skills to build trust with teammates from all parts of the company and across remote offices
  • A proven track record of developing standards for hiring, fostering teamwork, spearheading operational processes, and quickly establishing credibility in working relationships
  • Ability to prioritize and work well in a fast-paced, rapidly growing tech environment
  • Demonstrated net positive contributor to company community and culture above and beyond job duties, especially for remote work environments
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Easily flexes between strategic and tactical/hands-on tasks as needed
  • Knowledge of compensation, benefits, rewards, and recognition tools and practices
  • Experience providing coaching and support, and development to new hires, employees, and leaders
  • Passion for building and scaling out a strong, collaborative remote culture that helps people reach their full potential

  • Ability to travel domestically and globally for company offsites as needed

This role is location-agnostic anywhere in the world, though we ask that you overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
