Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive a performance culture at Protocol Labs – ensuring Labbers get valuable feedback, are coached to succeed and are rewarded for success
  • Help Labbers “level up” – ensuring they have well-structured growth paths, which helps them level up the skills and knowledge they want to develop
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to projects/teams through trusted relationships, assist with issues, identify and remove blockers and help teams deliver impact against priorities that will benefit the organization and Labbers
  • Help with the strategy and implementation of important organization structure initiatives and accountability frameworks in remote settings, including technical and people management across different projects and teams as well as succession planning
  • Help Labbers understand and embrace the different cultural strands of Protocol Labs – including open source culture, research culture, hacker culture, startup culture and so-on
  • Make Protocol Labs one of the most desirable places to work for researchers, innovators, and builders of the decentralized web
  • Deliver on initiatives and goals through thoughtful organizational planning and project management
  • Implement, facilitate, and manage core HR programming, policies and procedures within region (to include but not limited to performance management, compensation, benefits and rewards, development programs, and change management)
  • Determine where technology can be used to automate systems and processes, create efficiencies , and improve the overall employee experience
  • Partner with the Legal and Finance teams to comply with laws pertaining to all employee matters

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and familiarity with developing and implementing People related programs, including performance management and leadership development
  • Intellectually curious and passionate about measuring and tracking the progress of the org; experience developing and optimizing people related KPIs and metrics
  • A track record of providing effective HR consultation to senior leadership on strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR as well as work effectively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Unquestioned integrity; resolve, presence, and sureness. Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and flexibility to be proactive in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Proficiency in making timely, effective, ethics-based decisions
  • Experience with global workforces & teams, cultures, and benefits
  • Desire to build, comfort with ambiguity, and easily adaptable to change required (experience with change management a plus)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, must be an articulate and persuasive communicator including excellent presentation skills; analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Developed highly contextual and relevant handbooks, policies, and employee communications
  • Passionate about diversity & inclusion
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
